This is the most important Italian wine event. The wineries belonging to the Wine Tourism Movement open their doors to wine enthusiasts and tourists to let them see the places the wine comes from and the daily work that goes into producing quality. The motto is: “See what you drink!”
Every year on the last Sunday in May, thousands of visitors arrive in Apulia’s wineries to discover the producers and the wine-growing areas, to visit the vineyards, see the wine-making equipment and wine cellars, follow guided tastings and learn about the best labels or take the mini-courses on offer for this event.
Cantine Aperte marks the start of the rich annual calendar of the Movement’s events and is the occasion for welcoming the summer and making the most of the lull in the growers’ work to discover their fascinating world.

CANTINE APERTE AT FELTRINELLI
Do you want to taste a preview of “Cantine Aperte”? The full programme and all the news will be presented at Feltrinelli bookshop in Bari.
CANTINE APERTE AND "IL SEGNAVINO"
A pleasant aperitif among wines and books is the new 2011 initiative. In the participating wineries, thanks to the partnership with APE – Puglian editors association, many authors will present their books, mainly about wine & food.
CANTINE APERTE IN WINE BUS
Choose the wine-itineraries organized in collaboration with the local APT to reach the wineries. Participation is free and by reservation. Check seats availability.
CANTINE APERTE IN BICYCLE
Cycling lovers can choose wine & nature itineraries organized by theCicloamici associations of Mesagne and Lecce.
CANTINE APERTE AND EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OILS
Cantine Aperte” will be also a showcase for the “green gold” of Puglia. The Olive oils will be offered by the companies of Movimento Turismo dell'Olio.
CANTINE APERTE AND "VETRO & VINCI"
Choose the right glass and win the wine. “Vetro&Vinci” is a lottery intended to promote the correct wine tasting in glass.
