A new entry in the Varvaglione’s family

In the last years, theVarvaglione Vigne e Viniwinery has managed to develop a worldwide known reputation thanks to its quality wines, aiming at combining traditions and technology. Both such philosophy and carefully selected grapes and wines originate Varvaglione’s exclusive wine collection. Today, this company is proud to announce the production of a new wine:“12 e mezzo – Rosato del Salento”, 100% Negroamaro del Salento IGP. This rosé wine integrates the “12 e mezzo” line and it enriches the family of reds and whites with its charming fruity taste and its inebriating floral smell, perfect with aperitifs, light meals and fresh sea or meat dishes. The12 e mezzoline originated in 2012 with two red wines: “12 e mezzo – Primitivo del Salento IGP” and “12 e mezzo – Negroamaro del Salento IGP”. The main feature of this line is a 12,5% alcohol volume that is unusual for these two varieties. Such a low alcoholic volume is the result of an accurate work that starts from the land and refines in cellar. In 2013, this meticulous work originated the white wine “12 e mezzo – Malvasia Bianca del Salento IGP”. It has an exotic fruit bouquet and it perfectly matches with shellfish and low-spiced fish. In 2014, this fantastic family has grown with a new member: the rosé wine “12 e mezzo –Rosato del Salento, 100% Negroamaro del Salento IGP. It is slightly sparkling, with a colour similar to the skin of onions, and a wonderful smell that is reminiscent of just-picked red fruit. It has already seduced the heart of our loyal consumers and all lovers of the whole “12 e mezzo” line.
