Gravina
Gravina’s production area takes in the commune of Gravina di Puglia and other nearby areas. Geologically, the overall area is quite consistent: the northwest Murgia features compact limestone formations, with the calcareous stratum just below a thin layer of fertile surface soil. The vineyard elevation averages 400 metres, with good natural ventilation. Gravina DOP Bianco is the predominant category, relying mainly on the Greco grape; the reds and rosés, less produced, utilise Montepulciano and Primitivo, while Malvasia Bianca is the exclusive grape for the passito dessert wine. Categories:Rosso (red), Bianco (white), Rosato (rosé), Spumante (sparkling), Passito (dessert wine)
