“PUGLIA TOP WINE ROAD SHOW” WINE SHOP

In October, the wines of Puglia are at the centre of attention in Rome and Milan with the “Puglia Top Wine Roadshow”. From 6th October to 9th November, 27 of the best wine-shops in Italy’s two largest cities will be hosting showcases dedicated to the renowned wines from the heel of Italy, from the traditional regional vines – Negroamaro, Primitivo and Nero di Troia – and from other lesser known – but equally interesting – varieties, all produced by the wineries belonging to the Consorzio Movimento Turismo del Vino Puglia. Besides wines, other selected regional delicacies will be on show, including extra virgin olive oils. Following the great success of the previous editions, Puglia is back again for the whole month in Rome and Milan, with a programme of events promoting the Region’s excellent wines and food products. Events in both cities involve weekly wine-tasting and four workshops (open to the public, reservation required) led by expert wine journalists who will talk about the native varieties of grape and the new challenges facing local wineries, both in the winery itself and on the international markets. Wine-tasting will also include some of Puglia’s typical farmhouse products and its extra virgin olive oils: Bisceglia, Di Molfetta, Oro di Trani, Galantino and Agricola Paglione. The road show will end in Rome on 10th November with a special presentation and wine-tasting organised by AIS Roma – Bibenda at the Hilton Hotel.
