The wineries belonging to the Wine Tourism Movement open their doors to wine enthusiasts and tourists to let them see the places the wine comes from and the daily work that goes into producing quality. The motto is: “See what you drink!”Every year on the last Sunday in May, thousands of visitors arrive in Apulia’s wineries to discover the producers and the wine-growing areas, to visit the vineyards, see the wine-making equipment and wine cellars, follow guided tastings and learn about the best labels or take the mini-courses on offer for this event.Cantine Aperte marks the start of the rich annual calendar of the Movement’s events and is the occasion for welcoming the summer and making the most of the lull in the growers’ work to discover their fascinating world. Cantine Aperte is a registered brand belonging exclusively to the Movimento Turismo del Vino, and is legally protected to prevent any abuse/ imitation and to ensure that consumers receive a professional standard of hospitality, the distinctive trait of MTV wineries.
